Amdon Lodge News 2013
July 2013
28th July- Its time for an update, not a lot has been happening here over the last few months other then the normal life on the farm etc. fencing mowing cleaning up. Though on the up hand I have gained a position as the Publicity Officer for the Goulburn Valley Arabian Horse Club and have been in the process of organising their first All Breeds Stallion Parade for the 31st of August 2013.
March 2013
22nd Mar - Amdon Lodge Will I Am has now been sold to my lovely sister Melissa Blades. Melissa has said his future with her will be a big one, So look out for this boy in the ring soon.
21st Mar - Today we had our 45day scan for our lease mare Creswell Tresor. All excitment was there till the vet said she had slipped. Guess it just was not meant to be. On the up side her lovely owners have said we can try again come August this year but for now she is now back home with them. Look out Aug-Sep 2014 there is going to be one ripper of a foal born. Also on this day we branded AL Shai'Adora, Amdon Lodge Delecombe Joe and Amdon Lodge Will I Am.
20th Mar - Amdon Lodge Delacombe Joe has been sold on to a lovely home in Vic, where he will be broken to saddle and campaigned as a future dressage pony. His new owners are happy and cant wait for his appending arrival late next week.
Feb 2013
12th Feb - Decided it was time to get on Naveed to see what he would do. And to my suprise nothing. He was such a good boy just jumped on bare back and walked around the yard for a bit. Hoping to keep going and have a saddle on him by the weeks end.
8th feb - just under a month has passed since putting Nikki to sleep but our a little girl Dora is going great guns. She ties leads picks feet up and even trots. She's one smart filly and can't wait to have her out in the public eye to see what everyone thinks of her.
Jan 2013
16th Jan - Jude came back out to PTS Nikki and she is now buried down the back.
I am on the look out for a plant to remember her by. RIP our sweet girl.
14th Jan - 10 days after her first visit, Jude revisited and confirmed our worst fears. Nikki's feet had become worse and the bone had dropped through. So we had to make the decision to have her PTS.
On this day I also had ARC on Manhattan and really enjoyed it. Cant wait for the next lesson.
4th Jan - Nikki our purebred Arabian mare hasn't gotten any better so Jude from FarrierVet in Ky came
out to look at her. We can say she wasnt impressed with the last farrier work and pretty much she said she had a 30% chance of making it through the next week.
